With a touch screen display running the Halter software, this cell can be configured to fit your machine, and includes hardware for an automatic door opening and closer as well. Robot is fully operational and integrated industrial PC boots up into the windows interface, where a user can select the Halter software on the integrated touch screen and get to setting up their new machine interface, job, and job specifics.

The 2018 Halter Universal 35 (U-35) LoadAssist is basically a plug-and-play worker designed to feed raw metal stock into CNC lathes or milling machines and pull the finished parts out. Instead of having an operator stand in front of a machine all day swapping out parts, this setup handles the repetitive heavy lifting so the mill or lathe can keep cutting continuously.
Here is the lowdown on how it works and why machine shops use them:
The Core Hardware: Inside the cell is a standard yellow 6-axis Fanuc industrial robot arm. The "35" in the name stands for its payload capacity—it can carry up to 35 kg (around 77 lbs), which includes both the weight of the gripper mechanism and the metal part it’s moving.
The Rotary Table Setup: The unit features a rotating table setup. An operator loads raw metal blanks onto custom cut grid plates on the outside table while the robot is safely working on the inside. Once a batch is done, the table spins around to present fresh raw material to the robot without needing to pause production or stop the machine.
No "Robot Programmer" Needed: The biggest selling point of the 2018-era Halter units is the touch-screen interface (Halter SmartControl). You don't need to write line-by-line Fanuc code or use a teach pendant to set up a job. You just punch in basic dimensions on the screen (part height, width, grid layout), and the system handles the path math automatically. Changeovers usually take less than 5 to 10 minutes.
