With its 2550 mm reach and 180 kg payload, the IRB 6640-180 is the perfect robot for a variety of applications such as material handling, machine tending, or spot welding. If you are in need of a robot with a big work envelope (as it can bend fully backwards), yet small footprint for a compact production line, this is the robot for you.
The IRB 6640-180 has an IP67 protection rating and additional Foundry Plus 2 or Foundry Prime 2 options. Additionally, safety is no longer a concern with its available load identification, movable mechanical stops, electronic positions switches (EPS), and a stiff steel structure. True Move and Quick Move help to increase the robot's life and decrease maintenance as they help achieve direct path performance and load monitoring. The IRB 6640-180 is paired with the advanced IRC5 controller.
